Ghost Hunters Kinect With Spirits

Microsoft's Kinect motion controller may have been intended to keep gamers moving while in the throes of play, but some intrepid explorers have been using it for a different purpose altogether: hunting ghosts. Thanks to its skeletal-tracking and infrared-sensing capabilities, Kinect can "see" as many as six players in a room. What makes spines start to tingle, however, is when it sees some who aren't there. Use of the device in this way was demonstrated in the Travel Channel's paranormal investigation show Ghost Adventures.

2015 Mazda 3 2.5L hatchback

Passion and reason are infrequent bedfellows. You know this, right? It’s why the Italians earned the stereotype of building cars that set your hair on fire right before they set themselves on fire. So when friends and family ask for car-buying help, we tend to give bad advice. You’ve got $30,000 to spend? That’s a really nice used Porsche Boxster! You need four doors? Oh, then maybe a nice vintage Mercedes-Benz G-wagen? You’re also concerned about fuel economy and want a new-car warranty? Security-Minded Qubes OS Will Satisfy Your Yen for Xen

Qubes succeeds in seamless integrating security by isolation into the user experience. However, comparing Qubes to a typical Linux distro is akin to comparing the Linux OS to Unix.

2015 Porsche Cayenne S E-hybrid

If anyone predicted Porsche would be one of the brands leading the charge on plug-in hybrids back when Chevrolet launched the Volt in 2010—just as Porsche was debuting its first-ever production hybrid with the Cayenne—that person should be dealing futures on Wall Street. By replacing that SUV with this 2015 Cayenne S E-Hybrid plug-in, Porsche now has three plug-ins, more than any other carmaker. Of course, one of those three is the 918 Spyder, which isn’t exactly mainstream production. But still. READ MORE ››
