Skinsuit Eases cosmonaut Backaches

Researchers have designed a skinsuit meant to be worn by astronauts to assist scale back backaches throughout their time in house.
In the weight of house, the bodies of astronauts can lose muscle mass and even develop to a pair of.8 inches since gravity isn't any longer pressing on the spine. This elongation of the spine causes backaches moreover as increasing the chance of a slipped disk.

To relieve a number of this burden from the astronauts' bodies, a team from King's school London, MIT and therefore the European house Agency have developed a "gravity loading measure skinsuit" made from associate elastic material embedded with horizontal strands. The strands perform as a form of a 'belt,' that simulates an additional 1g of bodyweight by making a loading system directed toward the feet—mimicking the forces of Earth gravity on the body.
