A private equity firm is buying all of the .org domains. Here's what that means

Private equity firm Ethos Capital is buying the domain for every .org website that exists. Ethos, which has $19 billion in assets, is expected to acquire the Public Interest Registry (PIR) and all of its assets during the first quarter of 2020.
