The Waterwheel washer combines the Chinese waterwheel with the spinning motions of today’s laundry machines, leading to a reasonable device high-powered entirely by water.
Designed for folks that live close to water however don't have access to electricity, the Waterwheel’s body is split into 3 separate compartments (cabins) that may accommodate the garments of 3 completely different families. The cabins area unit lined with triangular ridges of wood, that increase the agitation of the garments, whereas the inset vanes fill with the moving water to each wet the garments and spin the water wheel.

The Waterwheel washer won a Red Dot style Award in 2013.
